Exam Process
- Our Goal
- To create one Exam Schedule for all Telecentres
- To add value to your telecentre
- To provide a widely recognized and valuable Certificate for students across Sri Lanka
- Course Schedule
- Three Courses per year
- Minimum Course Duration - 6 months (Theory 95 hrs, Practical 183 Hrs and Revision 52 hrs)
- Based on the TVEC guidelines
- Exam Schedule
- Three exams per year
- After A/L’s : September - March (Exam to be held on 3rd week of March)
- After O/L’s : January – July (Exam to be held in the 3rd week of July)
- General : May – November (Exam to be held in the 3rd week of November)
- Venue – Island wide (20 Districts)

- The Role of Fusion
- To Coordinate with the University
- Selecting Exam Coordinators from TC operators for each district Resource pool (qualified lecturers), Examiners and Paper Marking team
- Preparing an incentive scheme for Exam Staff
- Printing and Distributing Papers
- Arranging a training programme for TC instructors
- The Role of Exam Coordinators
- He/she should coordinate with every Telecentre in their district to register them for the exam. This should be completed two months (8 weeks) prior to the exam
- Arrange a proper hall for the exam
- Nominate an examiner
- Be responsible for receiving/sending exam papers from/to Fusion
- The Role of Telecentre Operators
- Telecentre operators should give the students' information to the Exam coordinator (two months prior to the exam)
- They Should registere with Fusion to send the exam fee (two months prior to the exam)
- They should fill in the student application (two months prior to the exam)
- The Role of the Resourse Pool
- Preparing the question paper three times per year
- Preparing the answer paper three times per year
- Creating a grading system for marks
- Conducting the online seminar
- The Role of the Paper Marking Staff
- Marking exam papers according to the answer paper
- Grading according to the marks
- They should spend 03 days on each exam & 09 days per year (Depending on the no of students who sit for the exam )
- The Role of the Examiners
- Each Examiner should scrutinise the students and the hall
- The Examiner should be the responsible person for receiving/sending the exam papers
- The Examiner should sort out any problems relating to exam papers, students and the hall that may arise in the examination
- They should spend 3 hours (3 hours per Theory) per exam. 9 hours per year.(weekend)
